The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated NOVA National School of Public Health as a WHO Collaborating Center for education, research and evaluation of safety and quality in healthcare.
This distinction results from a long process of collaboration with the WHO, which began more than eight years ago, and also from the recognition of the value and relevance of the activities developed by NOVA NSPH in Quality in Health and Patient Safety area.
“The designation of WHO Collaborating Center represents a challenge and an increased responsibility for the School, and also an excellent opportunity to reinforce its status in the leadership and development of national and international partnerships in this field”, explains Paulo Sousa, professor and researcher at ENSP-NOVA and coordinator of the Collaborating Center.
