PRODOMUS, a national project to support people at risk of psychosis, won the FLAD Science Award Mental Health.
The project, led by Cristina Mendes Santos, (senior researcher at Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS), advocates an approach based on the use of everyday technologies and artificial intelligence, as a way of supporting and monitoring people in a situation of risk of transition to psychosis.
Through its Science Award Mental Health, FLAD (Luso-American Development Foundation) supports clinical research projects by young psychologists, psychiatrists, family doctors, neurologists and other professionals in the field in Portugal, in cooperation with the United States.
The winning project in 2024 has several entities as partners, with NOVA NSPH standing out, particularly through the contributions of Rui Santana and Julian Perelman, of the School’s faculty.
