“Health is a Political Choice” is the theme chosen for European Public Health Week 2024, an initiative of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), with the support of the World Health Organization, which takes place between May 13 and 17.
The chosen theme aims to highlight the interaction between politics and health aiming to build sustainable changes leading to better health. The Week kicks off with an opening event on May 13 at the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies in Brussels, which will debate effective ways of integrating health into the political agenda.
Until the end of the week there will be a specific daily theme, all of which are part of the topics to be addressed at the 2024 European Public Health Conference – “Sailing the waves of European public health: exploring a sea of innovation”, which will take place in Lisbon between November 13 and 15, 2024 and has Sónia Dias, Dean of ENSP NOVA, as co-Chair.
