“Leading the Way to a Healthy Future”, the first public health innovation platform in Portugal, led by ENSP NOVA, was the winner in the “Action and Social Innovation” category of ADN NOVA, the innovation award from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
The award-winning project is a collaboration platform, which seeks – in conjunction with over 80 organizations representing different sectors – to lead transformation in the health sector. It aims to promote a Public Health 5.0 model, committed to building a sustainable future where innovation, adaptability, longevity, and inclusion are fundamental pillars for health promotion and health systems.
Launched in 2023, the “Leading the Way to a Healthy Future” platform created the largest public health innovation forum in Portugal, including an international conference and the creation of a White Paper, which already has the involvement of more than eight dozen of organizations. The objective is to propose reference recommendations in the field of health innovation, provide a comprehensive analysis and valuable insights for policy makers, health leaders and professionals, investors, and business leaders, and present a proposed agenda to the government, parliament and Presidency of the Republic.
The ADN award was launched in 2023 by Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and aims to stimulate innovation at the University and recognize good practices already implemented.”
