WHO Collaborating Centres

ENSP-NOVA

NOVA National School of Public Health is honored to be designated as a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center in two critical areas: Education, Research and Evaluation of Safety and Quality Healthcare, and Health Management. This distinction reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and global impact in the field of public health.

WHO Collaborating Centers are prestigious institutions worldwide, appointed by the WHO to support its specialized work. These institutions work closely with the WHO to develop, support, and implement programs, policies, and research aimed at promoting health and well-being on a global scale. Being designated in more than one area underscores our School’s leadership role in public health management.

As a WHO Collaborating Center, we are committed to:

  • Supporting the WHO in formulating policies and guidelines to enhance safety and quality in healthcare services.
  • Generating and disseminating scientific knowledge in public health, promoting advanced research in patient safety, quality of care, and health management.
  • Facilitating the education and training of healthcare professionals based on global best practices.
  • Contributing to the evaluation and improvement of health systems, with a focus on innovative and sustainable practices.

This designation as a WHO Collaborating Center is not only an honor but also a responsibility, reinforcing our mission to advance public health both nationally and internationally. This collaboration provides us with a global platform to influence policy development, train leading professionals, and contribute to safer and more efficient health systems.
