Health Management

This Master's degree has a highly experienced and academically recognized teaching staff. The groups created are usually very diverse, in terms of basic training, age and experience, which leads to the emergence of very rich working groups that guarantee an important sharing of experiences.

We have an internationally validated Curriculum Plan that adapts to the specificities of management in the health sector. It is also possible to adapt training to each student through the numerous optional curricular units available.

This is a Master's degree recognized for promoting career progression, allowing you to manage institutions in the health sector (at a national and international level), reinforce the performance of these organizations and health systems, research and contribute to knowledge in the core areas of health management. health, especially health policy and administration.

Who is intended for

To all graduate professionals in areas linked to Public Health, interested in carrying out management functions in the health sector, who already work in the sector and wish to progress to management functions or who do not yet work but wish to do so, at a national and international, as well as pursuing an academic career, subsequently entering a doctoral program.

In the second year, for the Dissertation, research seminars take place on Monday and/or Tuesday.

This program will be held entirely in Portuguese.

Conditions for Applying

• Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Law, Administration and Management, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Technologies, Biological Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, Sociology, Psychology, Political Sciences and Education and Communication Sciences, Human Motricity or in other areas recognized by the course Coordination, related to Public Health;
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.

In addition to the valuable diversity of students, I found a challenging and dialoguing teaching staff, willing to, together, define personalized learning trajectories, inviting each student to surpass themselves; and also asking each student to make a contribution to the development of the institution.

When taking on service management duties at a hospital I felt the need to complete my training. This Master's degree appeared to be the best option: in addition to the School's recognition and its teaching staff, the areas covered in the curricular programme proved to be of great importance for the tasks I have to perform.
