Master’s in Applied Toxicology in Environmental Health

Presentation

The Master’s in Applied Toxicology in Environmental Health at ENSP NOVA prepares professionals capable of identifying, assessing, and managing chemical risks found in different exposure scenarios, such as those occurring through consumer products, workplaces, and environmental pollution. The programme integrates knowledge in toxicology, environmental health, public health, exposure and risk assessment, and epidemiology, equipping students to contribute to the prevention and mitigation of impacts on human health and the environment resulting from direct exposure and pollution.

This programme addresses emerging public health challenges, including environmental pollution by persistent and highly mobile substances, exposure to carcinogenic and reproductive-toxic agents, and chronic exposure to chemical mixtures.

The Master’s programme also benefits from the collaboration of faculty members from other nationally and internationally recognised institutions, known for the high quality of the work they carry out in the field of Toxicology.
