The Portuguese Council for Health and Environment (CPSA) is organising the 2nd National Congress on Health and Environment, which will take place on 9 and 10 April 2026 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon.

Under the theme “Together for a Healthy and Sustainable Planet”, the congress is based on the idea that the complex challenges that characterise the current environmental and health context require integrated and collaborative responses among all organisations that interact with the health system.

The event provides a valuable opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing and the dissemination of good practices, bringing together professionals, researchers, decision-makers and all those interested in the interconnection between environment and health.

The programme covers topics such as:

• Impact of environmental changes on health
• Reducing the environmental impact of the health sector
• Public literacy
• Training of professionals
• Research
• Strengthening the resilience of the health system in the face of climate-related disasters

Over the two days, participants will have access to thematic sessions, debates with experts and interactive moments dedicated to building solutions for a more sustainable future.
