The National School of Public Health of Universidade NOVA de of Lisboa (NOVA NSPH) has begun the energy rehabilitation of its building, a project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), with a total investment of 1.2 million euros.
The works mark a new phase in the history of the School, strengthening its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, and preparing its infrastructures for future challenges.
The intervention, which will take place over the coming months, includes the improvement of the thermal envelope, the modernisation of the air conditioning and ventilation systems, and the installation of photovoltaic solar panels for self-consumption. These measures aim to reduce energy consumption, increase thermal comfort, and promote a more sustainable management of resources.
During the construction period, NOVA NSPH will ensure the normal operation of its academic and scientific activities, supported by a transition plan that guarantees appropriate conditions for teachers, students, and staff.
For the Board of NOVA NSPH, this project represents a structural investment in the future of the School, combining scientific rigour and a commitment to public health with a strategy of sustainability and innovation.
The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), under the investment line RE-C05-i03 – Energy Efficiency in Public Administration Buildings.
