Research

My main line of research is centered on the theme “Aging and Public Health”, which seeks to align the health issues of the elderly population with proposals for specific health care policies, health promotion and prevention of diseases and conditions most common in this age group.

In 2015-2016 I received funding from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES-Brazil) to carry out post-doctoral activities at ENSP-NOVA with the research topic “Ageing, Health and the Integrated Care Network for the elderly population with functional dependence: what can we learn from Portugal?”.
