Andrè Den Exter is an Associate Professor of Health Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) and a Visiting Associate Professor at NOVA NSPH.
His research focuses on access to healthcare, the role of international law in health systems, and patients’ rights. He has co-edited several books on European Health Law (Maklu Press 2017 and Springer Verlag 2022) and has published numerous articles on health law in international law journals. He also held a Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Health Law (2014-2020).
Andrè Den Exter holds a PhD in Law.
