NOVA National School of Public Health (NOVA NSPH) and the Portuguese Association for Hospital Development (APDH), with the institutional support of the Dutch-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCINP), and in partnership with the Portuguese Association of Hospital Managers (APAH), the NOVA NSPH Student Association and the NOVA NSPH Alumni Association, are organising a Study Visit to the Healthcare System of the Netherlands, as part of the Specialisation Course in Hospital Administration (CEAH), with the following objectives:
- Explore innovation in healthcare – understand how innovation is driving the development of new technologies, digital solutions, and policies aimed at improving health outcomes and the performance of healthcare systems.
- Understand governance models and best practices – analyse effective governance structures and quality assurance mechanisms in health management, with a focus on leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish institutional relations and foster future collaborations – encourage networking with professionals from other institutions, creating opportunities for future exchanges and partnerships in strategic areas of healthcare.
- Gain insight into the Dutch healthcare system – deepen knowledge of healthcare financing models and integrated care systems, identifying elements that may inspire adaptations and improvements in the national context.
The Hospital Administration Study Visit Netherlands 2025 will take place from 21 to 25 September, including visits to several leading organisations, among which the following are already confirmed:
