    NOVA NSPH has four scientic and pedagogical organizational structures.

    Social Sciences in Health

    It combines the disciplinary fields of Economics, Law, Sociology, and Psychology through approaches that promote effectiveness, efficiency, ethics, and equity in health systems. Dedicated to understanding the social determinants of health and the institutions, norms, and behaviours that contribute to population health.

    Health Systems Policies and Management

    Dedicated to the analysis and improvement of health systems, combining management, economy and public policies. The objective of this department is to contribute to efciency and equity in access to health care.

    Occupational and Environmental Health

    It studies the environmental and occupational factors that affect human health. Their contribution is crucial to promote health and well-being and prevent diseases through risk elimination and management actions.

    Health Strategies

    Focused on the development and implementation of effective public health interventions, integrating research and practice to face global and local challenges. This department plays a fundamental role in the development of evidence-based policies aimed at improving population health.
