    Degree in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics (1999); Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration (XXX CEAH) from NOVA NSPH (2002); Postgraduate Diploma in Management Control and Corporate Finance (23rd PGCGFE) from ISEG-UL (2022).

    Additionally, she has completed the following training programmes: Executive training in New Trends in Health Management at FCEE of UCP (2010); 70th Business Management Programme at AESE (2019); 1st CAGEP at ISCTE (2020); Leadership Healthcare Delivery Programme at Nova SBE Executive Education; and Continuing Education in Internal Auditing at the Portuguese Institute of Internal Auditing and at Academia SUCH.

    She is currently a Hospital Administrator at ULS Santa Maria, EPE, responsible for the areas of medicines and blood management.

    She is also a lecturer in Health Auditing and co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme in Health Auditing at NOVA NSPH. She co-supervises master’s theses at NOVA NSPH and ISEG and acts as an external examiner for final projects in the CEAH programme.

    She is a full member of the Portuguese Institute of Internal Auditing and The Institute of Internal Auditors, a senior member of the Order of Economists, and an associate of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators, where she collaborates in coordinating Health Auditing Workshops and has recently contributed to the publication of the book “Health Auditing in Portugal”.

    Previously, she served as Deputy Coordinator of the Task Force for the Sustainability of the Health Budget Programme, reporting to the Minister of State and Finance and the Minister of Health (2018-2021); Board Member of IPAI (2018-2024); Secretary-General of the Association for the Development of the Lisbon Academic Medical Centre (AD CAML) (2022-2023); Alternate Member of the Supervisory Board of Caixa Económica da Misericórdia de Angra do Heroísmo (2018-2022); Director of the Internal Audit Service at Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte (2013-2018); Administrator of Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte and Member of the Infection Control Committee (2003-2013); and Advisor at Hospital de Santo Espírito de Angra do Heroísmo (2000). She began her professional career in commercial banking.
