Isabel Albuquerque is an Invited Assistant Professor at NOVA NSPH. Her research focuses include leadership, organizational culture and change, spirituality at work, organizational behavior and human resource management in healthcare organizations, organization of healthcare delivery and healthcare integration.
Her recent work includes empirical evidence that impacts the management of public health events by identifying the leadership skills for hospital leaders to rely on when facing unexpected and extreme events and cope with individual, team or organizational challenges. Isabel Faro de Albuquerque coordinates and collaborates in several research projects, in areas such as healthcare professionals retention, leadership and emerging areas in the new competencies of health professionals. Co-author of articles in national and international journals, with peer review, book chapters, and communications at national and international conferences, in diverse areas such as organizational culture and change, leadership, professional identity, relational coordination, spirituality and performance, integrated care. Isabel Faro de Albuquerque is also an Advisor of the Vice-Rector for Health of NOVA University Lisbon and Head of NOVAhealth Platform.
Dr Isabel Faro de Albuquerque received her PhD in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics of NOVA University Lisbon and MsC in Health Services Management from ISCTE-IUL.
