Marco Pereira, Risk Assurance Senior Manager at PwC, holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics to Economics and Management from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He also holds certifications in CISSP (“Certified Information System Security Professional”) from (ISC)2, CEH (“Certified Ethical Hacker”) from EC-Council, and CIAM (“Certified Identity and Access Manager”) from IMI.
With over ten years of experience, he began his career at PwC in 2018. Prior to his career in cybersecurity, he was involved in software development projects, taking on roles from development to project management.
In the area of Risk Assurance Services, he is part of the Cybersecurity & Data Privacy team, having participated in several projects for a broad range of clients from different sectors in both Portugal and Angola. These projects include: cybersecurity risk management consulting, compliance audits against various frameworks and regulatory requirements, cybersecurity advisory projects, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and red teaming projects.
