Open Session “Conflicts/Biases, Integrity and Scientific Independence”

The National School of Public Health at NOVA University Lisbon is organising an open session featuring John Ioannidis from Stanford University, focused on the topic of conflicts of interest, research bias, and scientific independence.

Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, Population Health and Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, John Ioannidis is also Co-Director of the Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS). Internationally recognised for his contributions to scientific integrity, in this event this speaker will offer a critical reflection on conflicts of interest, research bias, and scientific independence.

This is a unique opportunity to discuss the ethical and methodological foundations that support science, at a time when trust in evidence and institutions is more crucial than ever.
