Marta Clemente
Originally from Santo Isidoro, Mafra, Marta graduated in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences from the Lisbon School of Health Technology, where she developed an interest in Epidemiology and Public Health. She completed her Master’s degree in Public Health at the NOVA National School of Public Health (NOVA NSPH), collaborating with the Department of Environmental Health and the European Burden of Disease Network, where she further developed expertise in burden of disease.
She is currently a researcher in the Real World Solutions area at the National Association of Pharmacies, where she works on projects that use real-world data to support health decision-making. Her main interests include real-world evidence studies, burden of disease, environmental health, and health communication. Outside her professional life, she maintains a strong connection to the community, plays in an orchestra, and finds inspiration for both personal and professional growth through travel.

The NOVA NSPH and APAH (Associação Portuguesa de Administradores Hospitalares) award the Coriolano Ferreira Award annually, which aims to recognize the best student of the Hospital Administration Course each year.
This prize honors Prof. Coriolano Ferreira, a pioneer in hospital administration, founder of the Revista Portuguesa de Saúde Pública (Portuguese Journal of Public Health), and Director of the National School of Public Health for a decade (1976-86). The award is intended to present a paper completed within the framework of the CEAH at international conferences and has a maximum value of €2.500.
