The NOVA National School of Public Health (NOVA NSPH) has opened the call for applications for the Professor Carla Nunes Scientific Merit Award, aimed at faculty members, researchers, students and alumni who have published high-impact scientific articles in 2024. The award recognises publications in journals indexed in Scopus, classified as Q1, with the first author affiliated with NOVA NSPH and with their financial situation regularised.
The jury, chaired by Alexandre Abrantes and composed of five members, will evaluate applications according to the criteria defined in the Award Regulations and may decide not to grant the award if the articles do not meet the minimum required classification. The winner will receive a certificate and €3,000 to support a new publication in a Q1 scientific journal.
Applications must be submitted in PDF format to cientifico@ensp.unl.pt, accompanied by a signed letter of authorisation from all authors. The title and authors of the winning article will be published on the NOVA NSPH website, and the award will be presented at a public session organised by the School.
