    Two NOVA NSPH projects are finalists in the TOP Health Awards

    The NOVA National School of Public Health (NOVA NSPH) has two projects as finalists in the “Health Literacy” category of the first edition of the TOP Health Awards, an initiative aimed at awarding individuals and institutions that have stood out in the healthcare ecosystem.

    NOVA NSPH has secured two nominations from over 150 applications, reflecting the recognition of the School, its researchers, and faculty members for creating solutions with a social and health impact.

    NOVA NSPH’s long-standing commitment to Health Literacy has been realized through numerous projects with a social impact on the health and well-being of populations.

    The award ceremony will take place on March 21, 2024, at 7 p.m., at the Lisbon Chamber of Commerce. Please consult the session program.

    About the Finalist Projects

    The Academy for Empowering Patient Associations | ACAD-Ativos pela Saúde, a project developed by ENSP NOVA with the support of Roche, led by Professor Ana Rita Goes, is in its 5th edition and aims to empower patient associations with new management and social intervention skills and tools.

    Saúde que Conta (Health that Matters), a project co-coordinated by Professor Ana Escoval and researcher Ana Rita Pedro, is a national research initiative that, since 2011, has contributed to public debate by analyzing the role of citizens in managing their own health and well-being. The project is scientifically managed by ENSP NOVA and supported by Lilly Portugal.
