Public Health Research Center (CISP)
Similar to the activities of NOVA NSPH, the research carried out at CISP – a center belonging to the school – is multi, inter and transdisciplinary, and results from the work of specialists in areas as diverse as health promotion and reduction of inequalities, socio-behavioral sciences, occupational and environmental health, health management and economics, epidemiology and statistics, law and ethics, innovation, technologies and public policies, specifically in the health area.
CISP collaborates with several national and international research centers and is open to all researchers who wish to contribute to the common goal of high-quality Public Health research, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and recognized in Portugal and around the world.
Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC)
The Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC) is a center of excellence for research, training and innovation in health promotion, prevention, rehabilitation and health services. Based in Portugal, this consortium is composed of health professionals, researchers, academics, teachers and entrepreneurs who work together for a common goal. The CHRC provides a unifying environment for research, innovation and health education in the elds of public health, lifestyles, nursing, rehabilitation and clinical research.
It is a consortium coordinated by NOVA Medical School and managed by the National School of Public Health, University of Évora, Lisbon Global Mental Health Institute and Fraunhofer. In the period 2025-2029, the CHRC is investing in transformative growth, capitalizing on recent organizational improvements, strengthening its leadership in translational research, public health promotion and technological innovation through strategic collaborations with academia, health entities, industry stakeholders and government agencies.
