A training program that enables participants to acquire practical skills to promote healthy lifestyle habits in childhood, with an approach based on early interventions, family collaboration, and ecological strategies. Participants will also learn how to plan and implement guided behavioral changes, using effective tools to empower families and build the foundations for sustainable lifelong health.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the importance of early intervention in promoting healthy lifestyle habits in childhood. They will be empowered to identify and apply effective strategies in various contexts, preparing to work collaboratively with families, adopting a multi-level and ecological approach that considers the needs and available resources in different family and community settings.
Fundamentals for intervention during the early years of life;
Ecological approach to the development and acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits: opportunities and interventions;
Promoting healthy lifestyle habits with preschool-aged children: examples of strategies and activities;
Parental factors and their implications for children’s behaviors;
The family-centered approach and the family partnership model;
Steps in the partnership-building process: skills, strategies, and outcomes;
Recommendations for healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, and screen time in early childhood;
Characteristics of breastfeeding that support healthy lifestyle habits;
Strategies for facilitating guided and planned change;
Planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation.
The awarding of 4 ECTS requires a positive result in the final assessment.
