Carolina Santos is Assistant Professor at the NOVA National School of Public Health. Member of the Value Creation Council of NOVA University Lisbon and specialist in Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I). Researcher of the Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC).
Her scientific activity focuses on project management, scientific entrepreneurship, development of business ideas, promotion of cooperation between academia, companies, governmental bodies, social partners and research centers.
Coordinator and Principal Investigator of the Partnerships for Science Education project, funded by the Horizon 2020 programme. Mentor at the Square project, focused on strengthening the third mission of Georgian universities and the development and adoption of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) curricula, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. She has conducted research on the development of personalized models, strategies and activities to foster interest and academic performance in STEM-related disciplines.
She coordinates the Postgraduate Course “Project Management in Health” and is Co-coordinator of the Master’s Degree “Public Health”.
Carolina holds a PhD in Public Health, with specialization in Health Policy, Management and Administration, from NOVA NSPH, and a master in Health Management, also from NOVA NSPH.
